I have an idea and I don’t know if it’s good or bad, but I’m going to try it.

I don’t like the way the bench seat on my panel truck has come out the three times I’ve painted it. You can see it in the rear-center of this picture.


This is a piece of scrap automotive vinyl.


It’s already got spray adhesive on it because we took it off of a car that a competitor messed up.

Now, vinyl will stretch, and stretch, and stretch, if it’s been heated. I don’t have a heat gun but I do have a good hair dryer and a concentrator nozzle for it. I’m going to strip the paint off the interior of the truck and see what I can do with it.


Here’s to experiments.

I’m also going to try some cloth from a truck for the Ecto-1 Cadillac. Maybe... If the Vinyl works.
